The Greek dark minimal experimental project Das Noir collaborated with the Berlin based act Fringe Society providing us with a great remix of the track “B-city”, taken from Das Noir’s self-titled debut album released earlier this year. The song “B-City”, a dark post-punk track reminiscent of early 80’s DIY coldwave bands, found its way in October on the vinyl compilation “Sing Me Something Sinister” by Seja Records from the Netherlands. Now “B-City”, an ode to the city of Berlin and it’s turbulent 20th-century history as depicted in the video, has been revamped and transformed into a dark minimal wave track that will be certainly be appreciated on many dancefloors in dark alternative clubs around the globe. Nikolaos Raptis (Fringe Society) really did his magic on “B-City (Fringe Society ‘Burn The Leader’ mix)”, by taking something made by Nick Drivas (Das Noir) that sounded like it had dropped out of the 80’s and giving it a more modern touch and an authentic breath of air from the German capital. The new mix is an exclusive track on the “Zeitgeist vol.12” compilation by the Frankfurt am Main label Cold Transmission Music.
